50th Anniversary
July 2009 marked the start of our 50th anniversary year. What would later become the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences began with one oceanographer, Wayne Burt, and a vision. Today, the college is a leader in the study of the Earth as an integrated system, providing scientific understanding to address complex environmental challenges.
