EventsFamily-friendly events all weekend include da Vinci Days, the Corvallis summertime celebration of art, science, and technology, with parade, races, exhibits, games, music, and Children's Village. Friday night, July 173-5 pm. Tours of the O.H. Hinsdale Wave Research Laboratory tsunami basin and wave flumes. (Registration by July 9th required) 5-8 pm. Gather under the tent in the courtyard of Burt Hall to meet with alumni and guests. Families are welcome. (Registration required) 8:30 pm. With a da Vinci Days' pass, gather to the left of the main stage, in the VIP area, for that evening's headline music. (Registration required) Saturday, July 18
8:30 am. Coffee and danish in LaSells Stewart Center. 9:00 am. Science symposium: short science talks at LaSells Stewart Center will highlight science areas where COAS has a pioneering role. 11:30 am. Reception in the downstairs rooms of the Alumni Center with displays, hor d'oeuvres and cash bar. (Registration required) 12:00 pm. Luncheon in the Alumni Center ballroom. (Registration by July 9th required) 12:30 pm. Dean Mark Abbott and past dean and OSU President, John Byrne, speak on COAS past, present, and future. (Registration required) 1:30 pm. COAS Alumni Group launch at the Alumni Center multipurpose room (115A/B). Current students are also invited. 2:00-5:00 pm. COAS open house in Burt Hall, showcasing research projects. This event is open to the public, as part of DaVinci Days 7:00 pm. Chris Goldfinger gives the public keynote for da Vinci Days in the ballroom of the Alumni Center. 9:00 pm. da Vinci Days headline music event. Sunday, July 1910-12:00 pm. Informal breakfast in the inner courtyard of the COAS Admin Building, along with time to mingle.
